6 Apprenticeship Myths That Could Be Costing Your Business Money
Many UK businesses still believe that apprenticeships are just for school leavers or manual trades,...
I have worked at Ascento for over six years now. However, I worked in a different positions before my journey started here.
I started my working life as a Waitress whilst studying at University. I worked my way up to be a Restaurant Manager and successfully completed a BSc Honours Degree in Hospitality, Business Management and Tourism. I have had various Managerial positions during my career. My previous managerial experience has allowed me to have patience and develop time management skills that I have been able transfer in my current role.
I love being a Tutor as I am able to give the help and support to my students to enable them to have the right skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen career.
I enjoy helping learners and getting the best out of them. The topic that I enjoy the most is communication. There are different ways of communicating in organisations and these can be interpreted in positive and negative ways. It is important to recognise how to communicate in a positive way and also how to do this effectively. It gives me a sense of pride and achievement when my learners have gained confidence in their ability to give feedback to their team and improve their communication skills.
I was born and have lived in Sheffield my whole life. I am married and we have a young son. I enjoy baking with my little helper, going on countryside walks and I am an avid Sheffield Wednesday fan. I also enjoy travelling and have been to many countries including Australia and America.
